1999 - the transcendent land

The sites that I am choosing to represent in my work are very remote with little sign of habitation. Typically Northern in geography, they represent places where one can experience an almost complete removal from civilization.

The more Northern and remote the more powerful the connection or experience. Rugged and austere these locations also speak to what is ancient. Century old rock and geological formations, thousand year old icebergs, all contribute to a deep sense of time and place, These sites communicate something universal.
